Weber Q 2200 grill griddle

They make griddle grates that are half the size of the grill itself so I was wondering if anyone has used 2 griddle plates on their Weber Q 2200 grill? It looks like 2 will fit.

I have the 2200 and a grill grate - not 2. I believe Weber says not to use 2 because it will affect the flame (reduces or kills it if I recall) due to restricted air flow.

Thanks. I thought I heard that you shouldn't but haven't heard why. Thought I'd get more info before I let my hard headiness take over.
Thanks again

On another note how do you like it?

I like it pretty well. There's just the 2 of us so I keep the griddle on one side nearly all the time. If you cook lots of fatty stuff it will accumulate grease and the 2 drain holes don't really do a good job for us because I always line the bottom of our gas grills with tin foil to keep them clean. The tin foil prevents the grease from traveling properly to the drip pan. Not really an issue for us most of the time because I can cook nearly anything, including 6 slices of bacon, for the 2 of us without the grease becoming an issue.
