Dump valve labels

I just started using a dump hose with a clear elbow. You guessed it, the bloody labels on the side of the trailer are mixed up!

Facing the trailer, the black valve is on the right on our 21RBS Cougar. The label indicates Grey Water.

I've read posts about the same deal. No harm done, but not really a good thing when you figure it's the other way.

Yep. If you want some stories do a search for black tank stories. You'll have tears in your eyes.

A great rule of thumb is to be aware the might be switched and that the black tank gate is the bigger pipe. Of course it's also prudent to use a additional final gate with a garden hose fitting in it just in case!

Ours were wrong - switched labels - all is fine. Found the issue when we took delivery - at that time only fresh water were in the tanks.

Mine were wrong on the passport. Painted the gray valve handle gray. Darn stickers fell off after I switched them

Just took delivery on our Cougar 26RBS this past Saturday. Made sure to check the labels - they look correct. Will find out when we take it out for the shakedown trip.

Too bad they don't sell GREY or BROWN food coloring... just for a "test" dump! LOL

I guess you could use red or green just to be sure.

Good Luck,
