3.55 should be fine , not the best for climbing big hill's with heavy load but it will get the job done , I have 3.55 in mine and it run's fine , I have pulled up to 8500 lb's and no problem , Just dont drag race off a stop light and you will be ok

I may have missed it but I didn't see HD cooling on your windo sticker....

I tow a cougar 28RBS with a 2013 Ram 1500, HD cooling and 3.92 with no problem. Towed up in the Sierra Nevada mountains up to 6,000 feet w/o any issues. Only mod for me was a set of air bags for the rear springs just help sag.
