Cable TV Problem

Got to use the cable hook up at a camp site this weekend for the first time. After realizing you need to shut off the booster, I noticed that only my main tv looked decent (Yes I auto programmed) If I ran the cable directly to each tv, everything looked great. I searched for the splitter behind each cable outlet without luck. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I hear there is a power splitter so I am not sure if there is an on/off button or where the damn thing is located.

Thanks in advance.

Cable TV Problem

Your booster should have 3 cable connections on the back side. One for "antenna" in, one for "cable" in and one for "TV2"

Disconnect the "cable" coax and using an ohm meter, test for continuity from the center wire to the connector. If there is, then most likely you have a "whisker", a strand of ground making contact with the signal wire. New ends aren't hard to make, and the connectors and tool to install are readily affordable and available. You might have to unscrew the plate on the exterior of the trailer to access that end.

I have seen plenty of bad cable ends straight from the factory.

Same problem here

I also have a 2014 390 chrome with the same problem. I tried all cable outputs, and the main tv worked great everything else was no signal. I also tried auto program at each place. The trailer is at dealer for that problem and many others now. If they figure it out I'll let you know. They looked at me funny when I told them about it and said they have no way to test the cable inputs. So we'll see.

I told them about it and said they have no way to test the cable inputs.
That is so sad. They need to hire someone that knows basic electrical troubleshooting.

Unhappy No change

I picked up our trailer today and they tell me again that they don't have cable at dealership so they can't test. Then he tells me it works fine on antenna so it should be fine on cable I am working this weekend, but next week I am going to try a few things like continuity test, check all connections for loose wires or connectors, and try and connect trailer to my house cable to test. This is just one of many problems I have been having with this trailer. I took delivery in nov 2013 it has been at dealer for over half of the time we have owned it with multiple problems.

You may need to find a different dealer. I'm not an electrician by any stretch of the imagination, but I have been able to diagnose coax issues using nothin more than an OHM meter and a couple of common connectors.

We do have an old direct tv receiver that we can plug into the "cable in" port and look for signal @tv.

I would also pull each coax outlet and check the connections behind the plate. My buddy had a problem where he could only get one TV to work and it ended up being that the cable connections behind the plate were only on by a couple of threads. He tightened them all up and it worked fine after that.
