Air fryer use in inverter outlet?

Are any of you doing this? I have the 400 watt solar w/2000 watt inverter and really don't know why Keystone didn't put a normal 110 outlet in the galley. I only have a inverter outlet and the DW wants to use our air fryer. Thoughts? I checked the air fryer and it pulls 1550 watts.

The “inverter” outlet is the same as the rest of your 120 volt outlets…there is a transfer switch that lets the power pass through the inverter when you are on shore power…..the inverter outlets are just one of the circuits that originate in your circuit breaker panel that is routed through the inverter so it can utilize usuall 3-4 outlets strategically placed in the Rv …one in bedroom one in kitchen and one in living area ..possibly one more in bathroom


Now if your boondocking on inverted power then it would depend on your battery bank as to how long you could use that fryer but others have more experience with that

As was noted above, the yellow stickers on the outlets just indicate which outlets are powered from the inverter when you are not connected to shore power.

When you are on shore power, those outlets work the same as every other outlet in the camper. Due to wiring limitations, you are typically limited to 5-7 inverted outlets in the entire camper (mine has a total of 6). So although you only have one outlet in the kitchen area, it can be used on or off-grid without issue.

With your SolarFlex system, even if you were off-grid, you could use the airfryer because your inverter can support up to 2,000 watts continuous, but it would put a good drain on the batteries in a fairly short amount of time.

As long as we're plugged into shore power or our gen is running, no problem using our air fryer. All the plugs will work the same.
Not plugged in or no gen running it probably won't work.

I totally understand the issue of having only 1 inverter outlet in the entire camper. My Montana High Country Fifth Wheel (2019 model) has only 1 inverted plug, and that is the one for the refrigerator. So, what I did was plug in an extension cord with multiple plugs on the end. I now plug in the refrigerator, and I also plugged in our WIFI (Visible Phone and mini router) too as a protection for when we experience power outages (which does happen occasionally). Our computers all flip over to their own battery power when we experience power outages. (My wife still works full time remote, she must have an uninterrupted internet source). So, this works.

Maybe, in your case, run an extension cord from the known inverter plug for the air frier.

About the air frier? All you can do is try-it, and see what happens. But, I have a feeling it will drain the batteries pretty fast. As long as the amp draw is less than the amp output of the inverter, you are good to go. It then depends upon the charge in the batteries.
