Warranty Question

I bought a 2024 Springdale Mini used. I tried looking in the warranty docs, but it is unclear if the warranty extends beyond the original owner. Would anyone know? I am having an issue with the refrigerator an believe there may be a few months left on the warranty.

I would call Keystone. Did you buy it from a dealer or an individual. In the link below under "1 Year Warranty" it states the warranty is to the original purchaser but is "transferable". How that takes place and what is required they can tell you. If there is supposed to be documentation submitted I have hopes that would be done by a dealer....a private owner, I'm not so sure.

What is the model of the refrigerator. If it's a Samsung, any repairs on the refrigerator will be done by Samsung, if it's under Keystone Warranty or out of Warranty. Refrigerator repair shops no longer service Samsung because Samsung has everything "proprietary" and they simply won't work on them, unless they are authorized by Samsung. I don't know how other brands are handled.

If yours is a Samsung, it doesn't matter if you are the original purchaser or not. They go by the date code on the refrigerator. (you don't have to disclose that you are not the original purchaser). AND... some parts on the Samsung are actually warrantied for 5 years. (I know, I had a warranty repair last year on the fan that quit working. I was prepared to pay the entire bill when the service tech told me the fan part was still under warranty at 4 and 1/2 years.)

So, actually, if it's a Samsung and you are having issues, you are better off to go straight to Samsung and forget the dealership. AND a Samsung tech will come out to the camper! Parked anywhere, as long it it has power.

It should have a 12V fridge. I would look into contacting the fridge maker and see how long that warranty is. Brand and model of fridge?

The trailer warranty is transferrable. You'll need to contact Keystone Customer Service at (866) 425-4369 during normal business hours (central time zone) to get information on how you transfer the remaining warranty to your ownership.

Keep in mind that the "lifetime warranty" on the Alpha Systems TPO roof membrane is not transferrable and is issues ONLY to the original purchaser, so you have NO WARRANTY on your roof membrane. That's not a "crisis" because after the first couple of years, the original purchaser's warranty becomes a "pro-rated warranty" and by the time people start having issues with their TPO roof, the "pro rated reimbursement" is down to only a couple hundred bucks and does not cover any installation payment... So, a "lifetime roof warranty" sounds good until you read what it actually covers....

Anyway, call Keystone Monday morning and get the ball rolling to transfer your warranty. You'll need the VIN, date of sale, date of original sale and either the dealer's name or if you bought it from an individual, the seller's name and address.

It is a transferable warranty with proof of sale and a small admin fee. Just did it this summer, private here in canada . But don't remember how much we paid.
But i still expect an aurgument about who will deal with the problem since the " take it to your dealer" is not applicable???
