Mystery Switch

Hi
I have a 2006 Cougar 278efs 5TH Wheel. As you step up into the bedroom on the left there is a switch. It looks like a standard light switch. directly opposite wall behind the switch is the area in the living area where the TV sits. The cable hook-up, 12v Lighter plug and 120 volt ac outlet, etc. I have turned on every light in the coach, had the antenna booster turned on, flipped the switch, nothing goes on, or off. I am at a loss as to what this operates. There is nothing in the manual that tells me. Anyone out there that knows? I have checked the basement lights too.

Thanks for the help in advance.
Bobyt

switch

Hi there
Just a thought, could it turn power on/off to one of your plugs in that room?

So your the one making my lights go on and off. Okay ... getting serious now .... Is the bathroom nearby. Try turning the bathroom light on and see if that switch controls it. That is the only switched light (other than the livingroom and outside) on my Cougar. Hope this helps, Hank

Hank’s question makes me wonder, are you leaving the switch OFF, or ON?

If it’s OFF, is anything not working? If it’s ON, then turn it off.

BOBYT1630, Howdy;

I have a 2008 278RK. As I go up the steps to the bedroom, on my Left is the thermostat and a light switch. In mine it works the overhead light above the bed.
AKA ceiling light. Work the different combinations for the lights and see what happens.

Could this possibly be a slide out lock switch? Preventing the slides from accidently retracting in by "sticky fingers".

I have a switch that shuts off the speakers in the bedroom, it could be that.

hankaye you got it. Iin the bed room there are 3 different lights one just as I enter the room a second over the center of the bed an a 3rd above our heads when we lay down. I guess I have never tried the light over the center of the bed. That is the one the switch controls.
Thanks to all for your suggestions
Problem solved
