? For those with air bags
Had a productive off season for the rig...mor ryde pin box, steadyfast kit, and a set of bags for the truck.
Curious as to what you guys set your bag psi at? I was thinking of starting at 15, but that's just a wild guess. Curious what others use.

I have mine set at 10 to 15 and seems just right. Not to stiff and still keeps everything level. Great investment.

I run 5 psi empty and 65 psi loaded with around 3k of pin weight. It levels out at around 25-30psi, but ride seems better to me at 65psi.

I run 5 to 10 psi empty then after hitching I return the tv to unhitched height .. usually around 45 psi. Keeps headlights aimed and rides the best.

I run 12, depends on weight.
Find a rear fixed point on your truck: fender well, bumper etc.
With no or hardly any psi in air bags.
Check height, with no weight: stock.
Check height, hooked up.
Add air to bring hooked up height to stock height.
Check air pressure.
Play around with it there and/or +/- 5psi.
I believe the manual said, no lower than 8psi, max 100 for Firetones.

10 psi with nothing and abouts 45-65 towing, depending on whats in the garage. I have a on-board compressor switch/guage so I mess with it while rolling down the road..... the guage.

What SLIMSHADIE said for starters. The general idea is to be level when hooked up. What others with different configurations run may or may not be what is good for you. Here's info for Firestone bags for different TVs.
http://www.firestoneip.com/riderite/...onManuals.aspx
Locate your TV and manual. Good info there.

I found that if I get the truck back to near level but, keep the over load springs ingaged with some wt. it drove the best. If I raised the truck up higher(more psi) the truck is bounceing like riding on baloons. So, I did not relay so much on psi. With the curent trailer I pull, the truck does not need them.

I run about 10 empty and it varies when traveling. Pin weight and bed length will have a big impact, not to mention the road conditions. I like to run it a bit soft, but typically enough air to keep the rear springs off the helpers when sitting level, but probably not quite back to the empty ride height as that is just too stiff in my truck (based on my pin weight). Traveling I run between 30 and 45 and like others, I can adjust it while driving with an onboard air pump. Good luck.

I usually run 5# empty and about 20-25# with the 5er on. 15-20# with the 20' enclosed car trailer and WDH on it.

I run min. 5# empty (per the Firestone manual) and about 30-35# with the TT on the bumper to get it back to stock ride height. Rides great and no bounce.
