"Alternative" campgrounds

Having been into the world of TT's for less than a year I'm learning a bunch!
My neighbor (I swear it's not me) claims they have been to "clothing optional" campgrounds. Is this for real? Supposedly there are camp grounds for all sort of "campers"

Yes, it is for real. I believe there are several such "clothing optional" campgrounds in Michigan. Many of these have a nude polar bear swim held every Saturday starting on May 1st., the official first day of Spring in Michigan.

You might want to ask JRTJH for their specific locations and other particulars.

A simple internet search will turn up many and surprisingly close to you.

You Know, reading this thread, we may have stumbled upon the answer for those approaching or exceeding the GVWR of their TVs. You can eliminate a couple hundred pounds of clothes!

This is true, but you better fuel up before you leave home. I'm thinking you could create quite a scene at the local Flying J if you happened to stop for diesel and the wife runs inside to grab a loaf of bread and some beer.

WOW! I did start goggling last night, purely for reseach of course to give to my neighbor. Right here in GA there are some really nice camgrounds that pretty much "care free". I need to get out more...

"And just how does Geo know this?"

He's a geophysicist.

We are rapidly approaching the "too much information" zone.

Steve -

And geophysicists know what's shaking'!

When working for Shell as young pup geophysicist, I was assigned to Shell Seismic Crew #154 in Florida. There were many interesting areas that we ran seismic survey - swamps, sink holes, orange groves, and the list goes on ... Yes, interesting.
