towing hideout 19FLB sway

I just bought a 2012 Hideout 19 FLB, im pulling it with a 2006 f-250 extended cab short box, and took it out for the first time last weekend and it sways horrible. camper is like new, tires like brand new, tire pressure good on truck and camper. I don't have any load lever or anti-sway hitches, I didn't think I would need those as the camper don't weigh much. I have hauled lots of tractors and farm equipment behind the truck with no sway problems. looking for some advise on helping with the swaying. thanks in advance

Sway is almost always caused by too little weight on the hitch. You shouldn't need any special equalizers or anti-sway bars. Just increase the weight on the hitch. Make sure the trailer is level and then figure out why there is not enough weight on the hitch.

We use an anti-sway bar/hitch on ours since we had it from our last rig (which was 27 feet long) and never gave much thought to not using it....figured it's better to be safe than sorry. The dealership told us we wouldn't need it, but I can tell you that it's been a big help when we've gone over or thru some REALLY windy areas.
