Turn on Surround Sound

I believe the surround sound is hard-wired into the DVD player. At least in my Alpine, that is how it seems to work. When the "regular TV" is on, the sound comes from its speaker, but when a DVD is playing, we get sound from the surround sound.

oh!! I just found out this mystery. Look for the a/b button on the remote with the dvd on. It will do a a and then a b and then 5.1 (a and b). I think on some remotes it is l/r button.

Best option if you don't have the owners manual is search for it on the Internet. We are currently working through an issue with voice and background music.
