New Battery install need some ideas

Well, the time has finally come to get rid of the small group 24 battery and install 4 6 volt batteries. I have a 2011 Cougar 326 MKS and I will be installing 4 Interstate GC2-XHD-UT 6-Volt Golf Car Batteries. Any thoughs or technical advise would be helpful. Wiring diagrams? Homemade battery boxes, off the shelf battery boxes? I plan on taking pictures as I go along and then post them here. Thanks in advance.

Are you looking for information about how to wire them up so as to end up with 12V or do you already know how they should be wired? If you can find an off-the-shelf battery box to hold 2 of the 6v (get 2 of them), I would suggest going that route. Whatever type of box(es) you end up with, they should be covered and vented to the outside.
If you buy the boxes, you may have to cut out or drill some holes to allow for the battery cables to go from terminal to terminal.
There will also be a considerable extra amount of weight going to the 6V's.

With 4 6v's, the wiring would be as follows:
1) Take 2 of batteries (Pair 1), and connect the 2 neg terminals together. The lead off these connected terminals will now become the neg ground for all 4.
2) Take the remaining 2 batteries (Pair 2) and connect the 2 pos terminals together. The lead off these two connected terminal will now become the pos for all 4.
3) Connect the positives of Pair 1 to the negatives of Pair 2. (Pos to Neg/Pos to Neg)

Hope this helps.
You can always do a Google search (wiring 6 volt batteries) and you will find diagrams.
