Okay people:

Sometimes there is a thread that seems to strike a nerve, and it looks like this might be one of them. Let's get this back on the right road. I'm going to leave the weights and tag statements alone.

There have been a few threads on here in which there were comparisons of specific part numbers for drive-line and suspension components between the F250 and F350. It seems that, with the exception of the added "helper spring" there is no difference between the two. Does this mean that I can use the 11300# number? Physically?...probably. Safely?...maybe. Legally?...NO WAY!

Safely?... Since they are the same truck, the answer isn't "maybe" it is "of course, YES!"

This is what we keep drumming on about. The stickers are different and the "legalities " can be debated, but safety isn't the issue.

This thread started as a "new truck" thread. It has now degraded to a weight rating, 3/4 ton and 1 ton are the same.....I asked that we keep it in the right direction.

The debate/discussion about being over gross, the two trucks are the same, just the stickers are different seems to be ongoing, but not the subject of this thread. With that said, I am closing this thread.
