I don't like to wake up in the morning with the sun shining through our door window (facing the rising sun) and get my eyes burned out as our love seat sits facing the door. Thinking about picking one up as it looks easy to install. Let me know how it works for you if you go this way. Right now, it is the towel over the window.

Yup, I installed mine on our '15 OutBack 316RL. It wasn't really hard but the spouse helped since four hands made it a lot easier. I initially installed it with the shade attached at the bottom requiring you to pul it up. That way even in the down position you couldn't see in the window if standing at the bottom of the stairs. However, the wife didn't like that and I had to take it apart to switch it around so it could be pulled down. I also used the Dicor lap tape to help ensure a seal around the bezel. The one downside is if you have a screen door, you cannot access the shade from the inside of the coach. It's not that big of a deal though.
Good luck on your decision!

Yep, put it in both doors, we like it.
Something you want to know?

Easy to install, looks nice. Pain in the *** to raise or lower shade as screen door is in the way. Other than that it's good.

Has anyone tried this?
I installed it on our 23RB and was happy with the mod. Came installed on our current 26.5 BHS and would have done the mod if it had not had them from the factory.

Our new rig came with one already installed, so I can't comment on that. BUT I'm confirming the above sentiment!

Thanks for the input. Purchased from Amazon arriving today! I also ordered 2 Maxair vent covers. Hoping to reduce the ozone effects on the cheap vent lids.

I installed 1 in the bedroom door about a year ago. They work great to keep the room darker to allow us to sleep or nap better when it's light outside.
Use painters tape to help hold removal of old window and install of new. Even if 2 are doing the job. I have replaced door windows by myself and its not easy due to any movement can cause the glass to drop.
2 things I think are to be considered, First has been mentioned, you cannot move the shade up/down easy since the screen and outer door need to be separated. No problem for us it stays down. But if you want it open daytime/closed nighttime etc. that would be a pain.
The other is brought up since it rains here a lot. I am not sure the shade will hold up to much rain. When door is open the shade is in the weather. We do not use the bedroom door, so that is also not a problem.
Due too that I had dark limo tint added on the main door for about 1/3 of the cost of the shade. No worries about shade getting wet in heavy rain with door open.

This was something I considered for the first year or so that we had our unit. Always in the past with different RVs I had done the "shiny silver thingy with velcro" over the door view window. Finally one day I got serious about it and started looking and measuring the window...and discovered that our Montana came with one already installed! DOH! I earned my Aggie ring AGAIN on that one!
It stays closed all the time now.

RV Entry Door Shade
I installed this one as I did want to have to open door to open the shade. Only downside I have found is that is does not give clear unobstructed view. For us that is no issue.

Yup both doors. Inexpensive and easy to do. Should come from the factory with them on.

It's on my wish list. I am not a morning person and somehow the sun can find that window bounce around corners and burn through my eyelids

I’m on the fence about it since you have to open the door separately from the screen to use it. Showed it to hubby, he says he prefers my magnet curtain solution instead.

Me too, on our TT that is now for sale. Will probably do the same for our 'new' 5th wheel.
