Tv mount in garage

I just bought an Impact 341. I want to mount a tv in the garage but where the plugs and antenna receptacles are there doesn't appear to be a stud or backer plate. Any ideas on how to mount it?

Scanning the walls near the TV outlets with a stud finder will reveal what is hiding behind the paneling. You will not only need to scan left to right but also top to bottom to find the horizontal backer plate if any.

In my previous camper I was able to add coat hooks by the main door because the manufacturer had put a backer plate in the bathroom wall for a towel bar.

Since it was going behind the TV anyway, I screwed 2 two by 4s or 1x1s across the studs the attached the TV mount to that. Solid and worked great.
