Quebec in August

We are headed from PA to Quebec for 10 days in August. Likely will stop in Niagara Falls and Toronto...one night each...on the way.

Any recommendations for CG's in Quebec. Will want to add spend a few says in Quebec City. I believe also visit the large National Park just to the north/west.

We will need 50a service.

Saw where one CG closes for the season on Aug 29?? Wow....

Thumbs up

I'm sure PQ'ers will chime in but I think you will be hard pressed to find 50a service. Make sure you bring your 50-30 reducer with you. WH might need to be run on Propane to help out.

It is a spectacular area - you will love it.

Cross at Peace bridge - Buff/Fort Erie - It's a lot better than Niagara falls. There is a KOA on Lundy's lane in the falls very close to the QEW you will be on from Fort Erie - plus a munch of other CG's nearby, but you have likely already found that! The Flying Saucer is pretty close - make SURE you go there for Breakfast Enjoy!

Here's the best site to find info on Québec campgrounds. Depending on the area campgrounds close labour day weekend or our Thanksgiving weekend in October.

www.campingquebec.com/home.html

Québec City is great. Do not try to drive a big RV in that are of down

You might want to visit this site for CG suggestions in Quebec. (Remember to click on the Canadian flag for CG here. The default is for USA parks)

www.campgroundreviews.com

50A service is usually not available in Canadian National Parks nor in some provincial parks but is available in many other CG's. Check before visiting.

If that CG that closes in August is located in the northern part of Quebec, don't forget that it may well be as far north as Alaska and by late August, the temperatures could be a bit on the "cool" side.
