Anybody else looking at next year Yet?

Just could not be still this weekend, I haven't finished up 2014 yet, but already have three trips with deposits planned for 2015. We are heading back for another Halloween trip so that was booked before we left that campground this year.
BUT we wanted something different for spring break. So with a little planning with a few other camping families, looks like we are headed towards James Island County Park for a extra long weekend around spring break time. Right now it looks like 8 families heading down with us. We are already making plans for Hawaiian Luau with the whole group. Did this 6 years ago and had a blast.
Also looks like a early summer vacation with our kids and grandkids at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach. My oldest daughter and her husband have a Cougar outdoor kitchen bunkhouse 5er with our grandson and granddaughter.
So I have had to make vacation requests at work earlier than most years. My boss likes to have our vacation request by the end of January for the year so he can plan management coverage in the departments. So I am helping him out early..
Stay warm this week, these arctic blast are rolling through the whole country..

We have already made reservations for our favorite site at Cascade Lake State Park in Idaho. During July. We were there four times last year, and hopefully will be able to do that again this year.

We're planning Houston/Tiki Island for Christmas/New Year with the son and granddaughter, then moving slowly back West after the 1st to visit friends along the way. Maybe a few days on the beach in San Diego, five days in Palm Springs, Death Valley and home with a few stops on the way. No schedule other than the reserved days in Palm Springs/Indio.

FWIW...we joined Passport America for $44 and will be staying at a high zoot RV resort with deluxe spot (not my style, but it is SOCAL ) near our friend's motorhome community for half price. PA seems to be a pretty good deal with many RV parks to choose from. Nice of the the folks in PSP to give us the high demand spot at half price for five days during the peak season.

There's a Patton museum on the 10 just east of Indio that I want to see. Anybody been there? (I just read Killing Patton, BTW. Interesting read.)

Let it snow. We'll sneek in and out in between storms.

We're already planning also... Just finished our last outing this past weekend.

A few local spot in the spring for extended weekends; Eastern Shore-Wallops Island area, Williamsburg and Clarksville-Kerr Lake. Planning for big trip to Finger Lakes area in the summer for a few weeks. Might do the Outerbanks of Carolina trip in August (free stay a brother in-laws property ) and then our annual Halloween trip to Natural Bridge Station.

Our biggest one comes in 2016..... Heading out to Montana. I'll be retired then.

We're leaving the day after Christmas for three months at KOA in Okeechobee, Fl, and then on to Titusville for another month and just sit on the beach at Playalinda. Reservations also made for the first two weeks of August at our usual camping area for Sturgis. Being the 75th anniversary it should be a good crowd.

Byrdr1... Yes it is. Nice CG with lots to do and I like the lower section on the river. Upper section is nice also although it can get tight on the back sites with large trailers. In Williamsburg, Heritage Park is really nice and clean but a little pricey, but close to everything.

So far we have 2 trips planned. South Fork Colorado in July with several family & friends. I think the last count was 7 trailers, gonna look like a gypsy caravan headed from OK to CO. Also Albuquerque New Mexico in Sept for the police pistol national match. DH is getting back into competing so that means more trips for me! Umm, I mean us.

What campground are you staying at in South Fork? We spent a week in the area last June, and had a great stay. Sand Dunes, fishing, and horseback riding. The campground was around 5 miles west of South Fork, and was where they filmed the camping scenes in National Lampoons Vacation. One of the cabins built for it is still standing. Loved the views and the sound of the river running nearby. You are making us jealous, since our travel distances will be very limited next year due to spouse's new job with no paid vacation until next fall.

Just in case you think people don't pay any attention to your map of the US and the states you've towed your trailer I'll Ask you this: How in the world did you get from Montana in Washington without towing through Idaho?

I'm not sure yet. I'm waiting for the in-laws to decide. It will probably be one of the national forest campgrounds sw of south fork off hwy 160. I'm hoping to talk them into Riverbend, since our rig is a bit bigger then theirs.

We're already scheduled for planting the camper for a month down in SE MN until kiddos are out of school (will go down on weekends). And then hopefully off to Ithaca, NY for a week or two since I checked out a nice campground there last week. Now just have to figure out how to get there. And then a trip later this summer to Kalispell, MT to stay with friends who have full hook-ups at their house (awesome!). And deciding if we can add on a side trip to Yellowstone since we'll be in the area.

I can't wait for summer and warm weather!!

Notanlines, not trying to start a debate, but we only take credit for the states we camp in.

Guess I can add Hawaii if that is the standard...if there is a standard. I believe I have been to every state, but consider the "coloring" to be camping, tent or otherwise.

Edit: Give my regards to Gilhooley's. Love the shrimp and oysters!
