Switched to LED's

Replaced ALL light fixtures, the heat coming from the incandescent light was not an option.
Got them from eBay way cheaper than CW.

The trick with replacing incandescent lights with LED's is to get the LED's in the 3000 Kelvin temperature range. This will produce a light that is very similar to the yellowish type that standard bulbs put out. Some have replaced with LED's in the 5000 kelvin range and the light is a bright white almost blueish look to it.
Look for 3000 K or those that say, "soft light".....
Happy trails,

I did the same, and used "warm white" LEDs. They still produce more light (48 led panels) than the incandescents, but just a touch less than the very harsh white ones.
Even the outdoor scare light, brake lights and home-style light over the dinette etc now have 1156/1157 LEDs :-)
The only spot I used something different was the reading lights directly overhead of the master bed; the 48 LED panel;s were too bright, so some side-emitting 194 wedge style LEDs took care of that.
Will never have to worry about the kids leaving lights on again.
