Water Pressure Meter

I have taken the advice of many on this forum and purchased a nice shint water pressure meter. The weight of it, along with the weight of a water filter, sure seems too much to hang on the city water input joint.

Does anyone have a good idea where to hang it or support it?

Thanks in advance!

Attach your pressure regulator directly to the campground water faucet. The faucet can withstand the
added weight -plus- your hose and water filter are also protected from too much pressure.

I made up a short 3' section of the white RV hose and put some stainless eye screws on the filter. Now, I can put the the pressure regulator on the campground faucet, hook the shorty hose to it and the filter, and just hang the filter on the post where it is much more secure.

Please tell me more about this water pressure meter. Is it a meter/filter combo? I did a search on here and on Google, only found this post.

I believe the OP actually means a pressure regulator that also has a pressure gauge.

This is the one I use, adjustable too. Left it at a campsite in Palm Springs Had to fork over another $75 bucks for a new one but I did as it works really well.

My pressure meter is similar. I am going to try the 90 degree connector and maybe a bracket to try and limit the weight of the filter and regulator. I do not like hooking it to CG faucet as someone could steal it or I could forget it.

Maxumum pressure?

Hi All,

I've just ordered one of the Valterra meters. What is considered the safe maximum water pressure a new fifth wheel RV should be able to handle?

Thanks

You only need 50 psi. Nothing higher.

As a side note, the campground we were at last weekend had at least 110 psi. Definitely not a safe pressure for plumbing.
