Furrion Camera on 2017 Keystone 27DBS Hideout

Our recently purchased 2017 Keystone 27DBS Hideout comes pre-installed with the Furrrion camera mount and power cord. I bought the Furrion Observation Camera, plugged it in but NO power. The camera was tested prior to installing and all worked just fine. Clearance lights on the trailer are turned on but no power to the camera. I pulled all three clearance lights located just below the camera mount but none of them had the power cord spliced into them. I cant figure out where the camera power cord is spliced into. I need to figure out where this is so that I can check the connection. Has anyone owning the same model figured out where the power cord is spliced into?

I had the same issue with my Cougar 29BHS. Try turning on the headlights.

Tried that, you can see that the clearance lights are on but no power to the camera. Need to figure out where they spliced in the powercord so that i can check the connection is good.

Somebody put up an installation video on on YouTube. His trailer is by Grand Design but at 3:28 he shows a chart with Keystone on the bottom row with "Converter Panel" for installation method and "Switch Turned ON" for camera activation. If that is true, then I would check on or near your converter panel for a suspicious switch of some sort. Or maybe it's only wired for backup camera and you need to have the reverse/backup lights on.

I saw that also, I checked around the converter panel and couldn't find any switch. The other day I also called the manufacturer and would you believe he told me that during manufacturing they may tie into the clearance lights or into something else that is always on. It will vary depending upon whom ever is installing, which is crazy. Also asked him if there is a switch and he said no.

Found a post in the thread below from 03-22-2017 where thor363 found the polarity reversed on the camera power as well as some other issues ...

Just a WAG, but if you pull the power wire out of the trailer sidewall, is there a in-line fuse holder on it? Maybe the fuse is missing or blown ??

If you still can't figure out where the wires are going, they make cable finders that you can get for about $20 that inject a tone into the wire that can be detected with a probe. You would basically detach all your battery sources, hook the tone generator up to the camera power cable, and then follow the wire through the walls with the probe.
Google Search: Cable Finder Tone Generator
