Cutoff switch added at battery

So, I didn't like anything on when I store it, when I do get my solar for the battery storage I won't worry about it, but for now I added a cut off switch at the batteries. Yes, I cut everything off including the break a way switch. But, I always go into the front compartment and before travel I turn this switch on so as to let it charge the batteries from any source I'm connected to as well as the break a way back on. Batteries are expensive and it's my added protection for my investment, so I only recomment it if one remembers to switch it back on before travel, if not at least hook your break a way switch directly to the battery.

My project:

After removing the hot leg from the battery it was not long enough to reach the upper area where I wanted to place the switch, so the stud terminal was added.

I did mine this way too. Mainly because to hook up my 5er I have to use my landings jacks. So I turn it on to use them to hook up and leave it on. Then the break away switch is ready for towing.

Yes that's why I did it 😬. Seriously I use my jacks for the same reason so we have to turn it on. 😀. Works for me

I put one of the knife type cut-off switches on my battery and it works great. I don't like leaving anything on when not using the TT.

Nice solid install Bob...The only other thing I would do is to cover that 12v junction. Call me crazy but I've seen batteries get shorted and it's not pretty.
