It came from a Facebook video. She's great, isn't she? She looks much younger than her age (23). She's done covers for many of the top named bands.

Well I received 6 new tires today. All made in Vietnam. Three were 0922 and three were 1022. What is everyone’s thoughts?

that's not quite 6 months old that's not to to bad. Especially with how screwed up the supply chain is. Mine were from Vietnam too. So far so good. We have gone from North Florida to Ohio to Maine and just got to Western North Carolina today not first problem

I’d have no issues us8ng those new tires. They haven’t been exposed to the direct UV sunlight and heat. They haven’t been on the road.

Should easily give you five years of service life

I had a similar experience with the Hi-Spec tires on my 2021 Avalanche.

First tire lost the balancing weights and cupped real bad after about 9,000 miles.

Second tire blew out at around 10,500 miles. It disintegrated. Had seven thousand dollars in repairs.

Third tire blew out on the way to the dealership for the repairs. It disintegrated.

Fourth tire blew out on the way home from having the repairs done at the dealership. Disintegrated instantly. I heard it blow and immediately saw the tire tread thrown. I have not had the camper repaired from this incident yet.

At this point I only had one tire left and the dealership had put on one new Hi-Spec tire during the repairs. I replaced all four tires on the ground with Carlisle tires which I thought were USA made. Wrong, China. However they definitely seem to be much heavier duty. I kept the new Hi-Spec tire and one other. Comparison between the two, Hi-Spec sidewalls are wimpy. I threw the only remaining original tire away. I had blown three within 300 miles of each other. It was, I am sure, minutes away from blowing. My dealership is 120 miles from where I live.

I would not recommend Hi-Spec tires to anyone. The date code on the tires was 15th week of 2020. Tires blew June of 2024.

All this talk of China-Bombs makes me wonder...... Our 2021 220RD Springfield came with, and still has its OEM Hi-Spec Oracle 205/75/15 tires built in the 34th week of 2020 load range D, inflated to 50 Lbs. cold with little wear as the rig has only about 1500 miles on it (I know, We need to get out more!) most of our trips have been local campgrounds with no long trips in the near future.
Should I be concerned?
Should I be concerned if a long trip is planned?
I'm pretty well versed in Car, Truck, Bus, and Motorcycle tires but not so much in trailer tires. I can already see that when it's time to re-tire, the Carlisle brand is pretty trustworthy.

I wouldn't wait for a "long trip" to change out tires, especially "China Bombs." Tire failure is more likely to occure with heat. Tires only take a couple of miles to heat up. A tire failure can happen 5 miles from home or 5,000 miles away.

Tire tread wearing is seldom the reason for tire failure. Mostly is aging out and for nominal quality OEM tires (like Hi-Spec), you are in need of a set of 5 new tires. Carlisle Radial Trail HT make a good replacement for a great price. Walmart has great prices and if you go somewhere that price matches, such as Discount Tire, have the manager look up the Walmart price. They will match it has been my experience.

You might want to check the tire pressure/weight decal located on the front roadside corner of your trailer to verify the tire size and the inflation pressure recommended for your tires. You said they are 205 75R15 LRD. Load rating D tires are typically inflated to 65PSI. LRC tires (which also come in that size) are inflated to 50PSI. If your trailer requires LRD tires and your tires are LRC and you're inflating them based on "maximum inflation pressure" molded in the sidewall of the tires, then somewhere along the way, if LRD tires are what's on the placard, you may have the wrong tires on your trailer.....

I'd urge you to verify that the tire size and load rating on the placard and the tire size/load rating on the tires are the same.

Are you sure your tires are not ST205/75R15? Normally LR-D spec 65 psi cold. What does your Certification label say?


WHat are the loads for each axle with the RV fully loaded when you check on a Truck scale?


Without knowing the scale reading offering an inflation is just a wild guess.

ST tires degrade without moving them an inch. Yours are old enough, plus they are bombs, that I would replace before any planned trip.
