12v tv

I have a t.v. that is 110 volts, but I noticed that the cord has a transformer in it that makes it 12 volt output. If I find the correct plug ins can I use the 12 volt cigar plug in the ceiling to power it off of the batterie system? It would be nice to catch the news and weather while not plugged into shore power.

Yes, but you must be certain that you have the correct plug and that you have wired it for the proper polarity. If you do not know how to do this then i would advise you to not do it yourself-- to prevent damage to your TV set.
