Alpine fireplace

For anyone out there with a fireplace in your Alpine, how loud is it? We are coming to the end of our second summer, and for some reason, I don't remember it being as loud last year as it is this year. Seems to make a loud-ish humming noise. I could be wrong tho, it may have been the same last year.

Haven't used it this year if I recall it had an issue this spring never got back to it to see if the batteries were dead or what it was. It never was very loud but we use a oil filled heater in the living room and basement come winter

Not sure if this will help. the unit in my montans gets noisy toward the end of the season. my big malamute is a long hair and sheds constantly. her fur gets caught up in the fan so i have to remoove the unit and take it apart and clean it up. then it's quiet again. on my fire place the air intake is down low. my old unit was up high and didn't have this problem love my dogs!!

I didn't opt for one and glad I didn't. Several times, I had to remove the wall in the back of the cabinet where the fireplace would have been installed to get one of the cats out of the TV pit! Seems they can jump down there but getting out is a bit tougher!

Didn't mean to try to get off topic but I just had to post this!

Ours doesn't make that much noise right now. I only wish the furnace was that quiet.

Few years later, but I JUST figured out why my fireplace was so noisy. Pulled the trim around the fireplace. Pulled the fireplace out. Pulled the top and rear panels off. Found the bushing at the opposite end of the fan from the motor was noisy. As soon as I put a tiny bit of pressure on the bushing, instantly quiet. So, I pulled the bushing out, added a bit of lithium grease and put er back together. Completely silent now. Pretty sure that my fireplace has NEVER been this quiet.
