On the road with a new Cougar 26RBS

Hello All...

Just traded in our 2005 Komfort Trailblazer T23S and purchased a 2021 Cougar 26RBS in Spokane WA April 26... Immediately embarked on a 3000 mile 6 state trip to South Dakota and back. We LOVE this trailer... Only issue that have popped up are the Innoflame Fireplace needs to ne reset after throwing random "E3" error codes during heating use and the HVAC floor register in the kitchen has somewhat restrcted aitflow compared to the other registers. We will stop by the dealer (RnR Holiday RV) on the way home May 13 to dx and resolve these issues.

High points...
the self leveling systems is totally awesome... what a time and effort saver

the narrow king mattress sucked... was too hard... replaced with quality standard queen

the in-command system tied to cell phone is great... can watch water tank level during filling and control all systems via cell phone

solar panels and inverter system works flawlessly

swapping out cheap 50" Summit TV with a Samsung smart TV for more viewing options

bought Winegard internet router and tied to our ATT account for great internet availability (installed myself)

wife loves the kitchen... space, "driftwood" decor, and appliances

love the tank capacities... only had to hook up to disposal systems every 3 days or so

loved the shower... spacious and plenty of hot water with the gas/electric hwt

the "theater" reclining seats are the bomb...

We are Happy Campers... :-)

Hello there pasayten, welcome to the forum!

Congrats on the purchase of that new Cougar, and we are glad to hear of just minor issues on the trip home.

Take care!

Indeed, the reclining seats are heaven, after our last rig.

Although this should have happened yet in your new rig, the kitchen floor register (ours is in front of the TV) gets walked on the most and tends to close up. See if you still get restricted airflow when you pop the register out. If you ever need to replace registers, I recommend the all-steel ones at Signature Hardware online (some come with louvers, too.) One warning if you're a barefoot enthusiast: the steel ones really retain the heat.
