Newby here

The wife and I have decides to become part of the ever growing RV population. We are considering starting out with a 5th rig, been looking at the OUTBACK 28' rear living (used). Tow rig to be 2007 Chevy Silverado LTZ Diesel Crew with standard bed. Any outback owners? Pro Cons have not purchased yet been looking at a 2007.

Welcome to the forum, Cable McMan. I hope you will get some feedback about the RV and TV and you are considering. As with all new members who are thinking about buying an RV - new or used - we recommend that you visit Flyguy's website ( Flyguy is a member and moderator of this forum) and download his PDI Checklist. This will give you all kinds of things to examine and check before you buy.

I have a 2008 Cougar 5th wheel which is similar to the one you are considering. The floor plan is different but it is essentially the same although slightly newer. We have had no problems with ours - other than a few very minor items - and the usual maintainance and upkeep that you should have with any RV.

Flyguy will most likely be giving you some further hints and advice about buying an RV but you should really take a look at the PDI on his site.

Richard.

welcome to the forum, I'm sure that there must be some Outback 5ver people out there and maybe they'll chime in. I have a PDI checklist for those who are looking to buy, I didn't write it and the name of the person who did is included in the PDF file that you can download. It looks to be very complete and is available on my homepage, you can access this file by clicking on "Flyguy" on this post and selecting "visit Flyguy's homepage" from the drop down menu, you'll find the file at about the middle of the page.
