Honey Do's - latest round

This is the latest round of mods my wife has had me working on since June.
Started out with a simple "take out a cabinet and replace with open shelves". This led to painting, obviously the shelves were raw wood. Couldn't stain to match kitchen, so the whole kitchen needed painted to match. Well if you are going to paint, may as well replace the floor in kitchen and living room after the paint. The flooring runs under the cabinets so, out come the base cabinets. Didn't like the kitchen layout anyway. New floor, followed by new cabinets, which obviously meant new sink, faucet, and counter top. What to do with the wall hiding all the plumbing stacks and electrical for kitchen, out it came, (now she has a walk thru kitchen) moved the stink stack, rewired and added a curio for her crystal. Cant travel without your Swarovski. Used to have two doors to bedroom, no more, sealed up the door added a store bought cabinet, made in Vietnam, who'd a thought after all these years. Irony some where in there. Anyway now we go thru the bathroom (which by the way got a larger cabinet and mirror) to get to the bedroom. Added new lighting in kitchen, living room and dining area, oh and bathroom and bedroom.
Finished this project with wall papering the dinning area and adding a new lock set to the front door, with 20 days to spare before Christmas. Oh almost forgot, insulated, put tank heaters and line heaters in the underbelly. Couple of more things that I have seen on this site and hopefully that brings us to Christmas.
Merry Christmas every one......

Pics will be on my account page, or what ever it's called, assuming I can do that again.

Sounds like you should have looked at trailers more to find a layout she liked. My mods were just minor things behind doors etc., not about to start playing with build in things. Good luck.

Re: Honey Do's - latest round

There's some very impressive "personalization" you've done on your RV. I'm sure you're proud of your work and you should be smiling from ear to ear. I'd question how much the modifications weigh and if you've considered weighing each wheel individually? The problem with extensive modifications is the movement of items within the coach which changes the weight/balance of the unit. While you may not experience any of this "weight change" with your modifications, I'd urge you to do some very extensive weight checks to be sure that you haven't inadvertently overloaded a specific wheel or one side of your RV by moving things around inside.

Your "handiwork" looks great and keeping the DW happy is always a good thing to do, but rebuilding an RV based on "desire" without consideration for the "engineering perspective" can create problems. Hopefully you haven't "crossed the line" on the "engineering perspective" ...
