Full Body Paint?
While my unit was at dealer for service. I decided to walk the lot. Big mistake! I found a unit with a great floor plan and full body paint. I just wanted to hear thoughts and opinions on the full body paint. I like the idea of not having the worry of fading decals and fiberglass caps. Anyone?

I agree - full body paint looks great. Just like any other finish, it needs some care.
In terms of fading caps, some of those are painted also and still fade. The issue exceeds the Keystone brand.
Back in ~2005 or so there was an issue with paint across the industry - high end rigs ended up with "crows feet" and huge expenses to repair it (cosmetic). I think my point is that paint in and of itself does not guarantee that the finish will continue to look great in 5+ years without additional care.

I have a 2011 Bullet Premier travel trailer and the paint has held up very well. No fading. Unfortunately the "Premier" logo's are still decals and those have started to show signs of fading despite my use of 303.

We ordered our unit with full body paint. It's now 2 years old in south Ga/Fla sunshine. Still looks like new. We wanted it to combat the fading of previous units fiberglass, and just can't stand the look of fading peeling stickers.
It's a touch more maintenance intensive, I wash it more frequently, 3 to 4 times a year, and I use Menzerna power lock to wax it once a year in the spring. It has no stickers to fade or peel. I think it's well worth the money we spent.

I didn't want full body paint, but loved the unit and got a deal I couldn't pass up. The paint is nice and it looks great, but it does create other concerns. I worry more about scratches and paint damage. I accidentally dropped the external door to the water heater and chipped the paint. I was able to fix it with the touch up kit that came with the trailer, but eventually that won't be any good and I'll have to try to get something that matches.

The best product I've found to protect paint from deteriorating is Top Gun Ultra Finish from www.aircraftspruce.com, Spruce P/N 09-00192. It lasts and lasts. I did my front cap as soon as I bought it, decals and all. So far, so good.

Thanks for all of the inputs!
I have made the pre-retirement plunge, and we will be trading in our 2012 3600RS for a 2016 2601RS with full body paint in the Merlot. We are excited and the next 2 weeks are going to drag... So in the mean time we will be taking the 3600 out to the lake this weekend! Ill post pictures...
