LEDs...check

Lighting upgraded with LEDs...check
Wow, would not have guessed that there were over 20 light bulbs inside the trailer! I went with Warm 42 SMD LEDs purchased from EBay and they seem perfect to me, very comparable to the original lighting.

Also...
1-Beefed up the bunks, put some cross bracing in and replaced the crappy lauan plywood and replaced with some 11/32" plywood...MUCH better now.
2-Moved the 2 drawers under the stove up to the top of the cupboard, freeing up the bottom part of the cupboard for storage.
3-Flipped the door over to the cupboard under the stove, now you don't have to lay on the floor to access the cupboard.
4-New memory foam mattress.

Next up...
1-Battery disconnect switch
2-Radio main power switch
3-Refrigerator Moister Divider Heater switch

Down the road...
1-Roof solar panel(s)
2-???

Half the fun of owning a camper is the customizing!

Looks like you took advantage of that Michigan snow May be the pictures, but looks like really white (cool) versus a warm which I thought would be more yellow? Have only installed a couple cool and warm in the ceiling to try and determine what I want. So for now it looks like a lighting display Like you I have other things of higher priority planned.

The color temp matches the stock lighting very close, it's almost impossible to tell the difference based on color temp. With the clear lens on the Keystone they look much cooler then with the white lenses on my last camper. Glad I went with the warm LEDs.

I went warm on mine and have been happy with them. Good news is I only have 11 bulbs. Bad news is they come in lots of 10

I was really happy changing out to LED in our TT also. You are correct, there is a bunch to change out!

Battery cut-off, Check

One more off the list, Battery cut-off switch installed. Just need to wire the emergency brake switch directly to the battery so it's not switched.

They were about $20 for 20 bulbs.

Lightbulb Warm White vs Super White

FYI
Here is a picture of the difference between the Warm White LEDs that I ended up installing and Super White LEDs. I ended up using the Super White LEDs in the range hood and storage compartments as not to waste them.

Warm White 4000k

hi Mate, I have fitted a 250watt solar panel on the roof, with a controller in the panel beside the fusebox under the fridge. The controller takes in the solar, and charges the battery and/or feeds the trailers load at fusebox. I am about to put in an isolator, but figure this should be on the load side of the controller in order to prevent discharge when not in use (or fires), but also allows charging of the batteries.

you might want to consider relocating the isolator when you fit solar, perhaps?

I will let you know if I have any dramas with my set up.

cheers

Carl

Hmm, I have not thought that far ahead regarding the isolator switch when I add solar...might have to rethink that. Thanks for the brain tickle!

Looks like solar might be in the near future for me, so keep us posted on your project!

I just finished a full LED conversion in our TT. At first we had the cool white led's in the main living area (6x overhead), we tried them for a bit, but found them too hard on our eyes, returned them for warm whites (yellow-ish colour) and love them. Yes there is lots of them, but worth it especially if you dry camp often. Our led's are rated at a little over 100 lumes per bulb.

hi, Went away for Easter weekend with the solar. Great, no problems, plenty of life in the batteries and plenty of top up. I would suggest 250watts is plenty unless you have a massive inverter and run lots of AC.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for the update, I'm glad you had positive results with your setup. I just finished with the install of my solar panels. I went with a 200 watt system and can't wait to try them out! I don't intend on running more than the lights, water pump, fridge and the occasional movie on the 19" LCD TV.
If your interested see my installation post here... http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21884
