Mods to our Cougar

I tried this earlier from the iPad, but it wouldn't download the pictures, so here goes from the PC.

We have finished the modification to the medicine cabinet. We added another shelf and put a restraining bar across the top shelf. The entire project came to less than $4.

Well...it appears that I still haven't figured out how to insert photos. Back to the drawing board. I had two more, so maybe I will have to go the album route.

Still trying to figure out how to rotate pictures. They appear right side up in my photo library, but they sure aren't turned correctly here.

This is the quilt I made to replace the sleazy bedspread that came with the trailer.

One last post. Sorry to split these up, but the computer gremlins wouldn't let me post all in the same post.

This is the table we had made to replace the little one in the U shaped dinette. We were particularly happy with it this past week when we seated four adults comfortably after our meal was chased indoors by a thunderstorm.

Very nice. Beautiful job on the quilt and love the pillows. I plan on doing similar work to my medicine cabinet. Our U shaped dinette came with the pop up / down table and love the fact that we can move it around, myself being a big guy really love it. We manage to fit all 5 of us at it reasonably well. I can see the booth being better for some. Especially due to the feet position. They did a nice job on the table.

Thanks, all!

We still have the pop up/down base on the table, so it is totally moveable. We saved all the parts for the U dinette and the smaller table in case we someday sell the trailer to someone who wants them. I also kept the bedspread and bolster pillows to be put back in. Whoever gets the trailer after us isn't getting the quilt!

Awesome! I really love the quilt and pillows. Did you make the pillows too? Would love to add a couple of those to our trailer.

The Quilt looks nice on the bed it makes a big difference. The DW just finished the top of our bed Quilt. and is about to put it on the longarm to quilt it as soon as she finishes her customers Quilts. She has made the RV look like home with wall hangings and throws. Quilting for her is not a hobby it is an obsession.

My daughter made the pillows as a trailer warming gift. They were made to look like our two dogs, a 12year old Golden and a three legged Lab/Chessie cross.

How fun to find out that there are a number of other quilters on this forum.

Love the quilt! It's gorgeous! So far, I've made a lap quilt and pillow for the couch in ours and my winter project is a quilt for our bed. You've got me impatient now!

Okay...now I am totally jealous! I LOVE the quilt and I love the medicine cabinet mods and I completely and totally wish that I could my hubby to do to our dinette what you have done to yours! Do you have any instructions on how you accomplished it? Maybe I could sell him on that project if it doesn't appear to be beyond his skillset?

The back section of the dinette was held down by about a dozen screws. Just took those out and lifted the whole section out. The dinette was installed over the top of the carpet, so there wasn't much to do there.

We went to Pendleton OR to Drake RV where they do repairs and after market things to have the table top made. They were able to get the matching laminate from the factory. We just unscrewed the legs from the small table and installed them on the larger one. The parts we removed are stored in our shed in case we eventually sell the trailer to someone who wants the U dinette.

Hope this helps. I'm sorry, but we didn't think to take pictures of the job in progress.

What an amazing gift. We have a 19 month old chocolate lab. I hate to say that she is a "replacement,", but we just couldn't last very long without a dog after 11 years with our golden.

After reading the back and forth about the Quilt it got me to thinking that you Quilt Ladies should form a Social Group for Quilters. I know that my DW does not leave on a trip without a machine, fabric, cutting board, portable ironing service and of course fabric. Plus we shop hop across the country on our travels
