I'll chime in and vote for the Weber Q100 also. We like ours, it fits in the forward pass through and the cart folds for easy storage also.

Love the weber Q100! Was able to take the quick connect off the grill supplied with the cougar and put on Weber. Lid gets removed to place in front pass through storage.

Another vote for the Baby Q. Best grill on the market. We ran it off the grill jack of our Arctic Fox when full-timing, now just off the little green tanks. It makes better grill marks and does better charing than my "biggie" at home.

My wife bought me the Weber 100 for fathers day a few years ago and I must say I'm impressed with that little guy. I did think that the small flame it gives would cook anything but it does one heck of a job and with propane use too.

Have a nexgrill from Costco for the camper. It works well, bought the connectors and followed the BBQ sticky on this site to hook it up direct to the quick connect in the outdoor kitchen.

We use a Camp Chef Pro 90 stove with the Professional BBQ box. Great setup when cooking in larger groups like we do. Large BBQ surface and a separate burner for other things, and in the mornings, remove the BBQ box and we have 3 burners for whatever. Best setup I've used/seen in my opinion.

What I'm kinda sensing is most will not fit into the passthrough of a travel trailer as easily as the one I have now. It folds down to under 12 inches and slides right in. I've got a tray that it sits on to keep the floor clean from any crap that falls off, but that part works well.
The Coleman, Napoleon and Weber won't fit in as nicely.
I'm leaning towards a Q220 and the Weber stand. Have to rig it up to take the lid off when I put it away, find a spot for the stand, but I'll like the BBQ much better.

I've was leaning towards a Charbroil TruInfrared model but now I'm thinking a Weber Q1200 might be more versatile. I like the idea of the interchangeable griddle top, etc. I'm thinking that it would probably ride under the dinette table in our camper and then in the back of the Yukon when it's not being used.

I finally decided on and purchased a new Q1200. I received 2 Amazon gift cards totaling $75 for my birthday, and then played a little game with Amazon. I noticed that if I selected the Q1000, they said they would give me a $60 gift card if I opened a new Amazon credit card. If I selected a Q1200, it was only $20. Selected the Q1000, applied and got the $60 gift card in my account, added the Q1200 to my cart and then checked out. The net cost to me was $64. Thanks family and Amazon!

Do folks with the smaller 100 / 1000 size grills (189 sq in) think they are adequate? Or do you have 200 / 1200 grill (280 sq in) envy?

I think it depends on how many you're cooking for. My Q1200 is enough for me and the wife possible 2 more. If I was cooking for 10, I'd probably go with the bigger one.

I received my Q1200 this weekend and promptly cooked some brats. Yum! Also, it will fit in the rear storage of my Passport without removing the top cover. Yay!

I probably should have specified that... Normally cooking for 4 (2 adults / 2 kids). Occasionally cooking for more, but in those cases I would expect to have a couple waves of meat coming off the grill.

I loaded mine in this weekend with some chairs, blocks, ect. Plenty of room for stuff in there if organized correctly

We use the Aussie gas grill that came with our Passport. It works great, and it even came with a mounting bracket to the rear bumper of the TT.

Our 23RB came with a small que that connects directly to a gas fitting on the underside of the camper. Quite a cheap little unit but it actually worked quite well. One nice feature of it was that it mounted via a bracket to the rear bumper. Can't see it lasting more than a season or two. I'll continue to use thing until at which time it gives up the ghost and then dig out my Sea-B-Que out of the basement from our boating days. I bought this in 1990 and to this day it still looks new (alot of elbow grease) and without a doubt the best portable que we have ever had. The burner lasted 20 years. Am I correct to suggest that a regulated bbq cannot be adapted to the gas fitting on my camper? Can the regulator be removed and the fitting from the old que adapted to the new?

We use the Aussie that came with our passport also. I know some folks haven't liked theirs, but it's worked well for us. Easy to clean, too.

zuley -
You can't have both regulated - if your smaller BBQ has a regulator, you need to remove it before hooking it into the gas fitting on the camper (which is regulated). You might want to check the sticky in the Modifications and Upgrades section developed by Bob Landry (BBQ Gas Conversions). I think his tutorial will answer any questions you have about using your old BBQ.

Thank you Festus. As I suspected.
