Barbecue pit propane connections to trailer

Wow! having all kinds of problems trying to hook up barbecue (came with trailer, $175 option, $65 on internet, that they charge you for) to propane quick connect fittings under the trailer. There is no way to hook up to propane fitting under the trailer unless you lay on your back and crawl under the trailer. Then you better have good shoulders and hands to try to connect to propane gas fitting. I can barely get the slip connect fitting into the barbecue connection standing upright and right in front of you. Not worth all the trouble. I'm going to try to convert fittings to use one pound throw away propane or 5lb propane tank. Otherwise its a throwaway. Anybody converted over or have better idea?

Easy. Go to Home Depot and get a pipe nipple that's long enough to reach the outside edge of the trailer and replace the one that came with it. It will take you every bit of 5 minutes. Be sure to use yellow thread tape on the thread connections

Thank you Bob, I'll take that in consideration. Still a major pain in the you know what.
