Shower question

Hello. I have a 2022 keystone passport 221BH. We just dewinterized it for the first time. The shower head seems to always have pressure at it regardless of where the shower valve knobs are set. Even with the knobs fully closed if you move the shut off lever at the wand I get full pressure. Just checking to see if anybody else has had similar issues. Thanks!

Jeff

You may have a leaking or malfunctioning (won't close) shower faucet valve. When they are both turned off and you lift the shower "shut off lever", after it runs for a bit, is the showerhead output cold, hot or properly regulated??? I'd guess if it's hot, the hot valve is "stuck open even when the faucet handle is turned off" and the same for the cold valve if the showerhead output is always cold.... Somewhere in the shower faucet, you've got one or possibly two "stuck open faucet valves.

What strikes me as unusual about this complaint is that the nozzle shutoff control in any recent model RV purposely never shuts off the flow fully, there's always a good trickle from the fixture. Yet you didn't report that the fixture is trickling all the time.

(Or maybe I'm just too sensitive to the dog that doesn't bark in the night time.)

I wonder if he has one those “forest River” faucets where the cold side is reversed. I call it that because that seems to be standard on those RVs.

Our shower has a faucet with counter rotating knobs. Drives me crazy, I know, that's a short trip. Counter rotation is great for props on planes and boats but don't belong on a faucet IMO.
