Possibly the interior color option. They show an Ashland color and a Steel color in the 2022 brochure, might also be in the 21 brochure.

Typically, S is slide, but yours doesn’t have a slide. Looking at the eastern brochure it’s just a 211BH. I would guess the the SWE is southwest edition.

Maybe but because it's a western edition it's setup for colder climate if it was southwest I don't think it would be setup for colder climate but I may be wrong keystone does do some crazy stuff with these travel trailers. But to tell you the truth that is about the only thing I can think it stands for

The dealership no worked at didn’t sell bullets so I don’t have first hand knowledge of them. According to the Springdale rep I dealt with, he said the western addition springdales had a lot of differences designed to handle the heat we had in the southwest better. I could be wrong, it’s just the only thing that made sense to me.

Since we all are throwing words against the wall, my guess would be the S is for solid step. By the way, what's the prize for guessing correctly?

That’s a good question. I considered the solid step, but figured they would have used it on the eastern edition as well. I’ve seen S stand for sofa as well, but don’t see that on the floor plan.

Yes the solid seep I was thinking of to but that comes on the eastern edition to so I don't think that's it. I mean I was just wondering I guess it's not really important that I really know what it stands for

Sometimes trying to understand what/why from an RV company is next to impossible. When I was in sales, we would have similar discussions over some models. I have factory reps be able to answer some and not others. Although it’s not need to know info, it is nice to know info.

The subject of "deciphering " Keystone's model numbers comes forward occasionally. Sometimes I think they use their own version of the enigma cipher from WWII. Every company has their own methedology of naming things. Typically when you look at "engineered" products it could me a date of introduction mixed with an iteration number.

Sometimes it's just a whim like Carroll Shelby and the Cobra 350. The story was when naming the car he asked his crew how far it was from the garage to his office and someone said "about 350'". The Cobra 500 was chose because the number was larger than 350 and the GT 40 was because the car was the min regulation height of 40".

I think when you get designers involved the identifiers go off the rails. One retail/restaurant company I worked for was crazy with their nameing. I remembeer one set of plans where the call out for the light on the dinning tables was identified as "hard to draw". Those designers would use their kids names, their pets names, and even birth dated to identify custome designed elements. So if "breaking the code" is important to you well, good luck. Personally I like to have fun with it and come up with some witty explination but often it ends up being perverted so I just smile and keep it to myself.

Well I contacted keystone and they finally got back to me. They say it stands for bunk house slideout. And that answer just makes me want to ask what do they consider a slideout

Now if that ain't SMOKE there never was any wafting out of Goshen !!!!!

Maybe they meant the stovetop slideout in the outdoor kitchen? Or maybe the galley drawers ???

You can make up something that you like. I spent a lot of my working years inspecting resturant and retail sites both under construction and when they were open for buisness. I used several differnt meters, test equipment, etc. At one location a contractor had a particularlly annoying general laborer that continually asked questions. I got the sense he was just being a pest and not genuinely inquiring out of a desire to understand or learn.

Anyway, I got the GC site super aside and he confirmed the guy was a wise a**. He said he does it all the time because he thinks he's impressing, or entertaining the crew. So I grabbed a moisture meter and continued on When he got close to me I pushed a test button that made it beep and flash a red led. He asked what that was for. I replied that it was "an a-hole detector, whenever one gets near me it goes off and warns me." The crew watching this guy broke out in laughter and he didn’t bother me again. Not related to your quest but it just reminded me of that incident. I guess I'm getting reflective in my old age.
