Flag Holder

An easy, cheap way for TTs is a 2x4 screwed to offset 2x8 jack pads. Then plastic flag mount that comes with flag and a solar light for nighttime.

I want to use a holder, just like one used on homes, that I could bolt to the pin box. I took the pic to show the general area I’m thinking of. Would this cause any issue that would be regretted later? Of course the flag would be removed for transport and placed during setup.

Thanks.
Exactly what I did to mine.
After confirming whats underneath I used Metal drill bit and then screwed down my flag holder.

Flag Pole

I purchased a fiberglass flag pole from www.polesandholders.com Item PMH 22 Delux It is strong but light weight and easy to put up and take down. I also attach a solar light mounted to the pole lighting up the flag at night.

My buddy has a setup like this and it works well when he remembers to set it up under the tongue jack before unhitching!

My setup for the trailer is like this. I originally planned on using the rear receiver but on our first trip we had a bike rack there. I then bought a 4" bumper mount receiver and used longer bolts to attach it to the front A-frame.

We also use a disk solar light mounted at the top of the pole when flying the US flag at night. It has worked great. Even after 4 days of clouds and rain it was still bright. An added benefit is that it lights up the area around the A-frame so you don't need a flashlight to check anything at night and prevents me from banging my shins on the WDH.

I decided to use the KISS method. I just mounted the adjustable Flag Holder to the pinbox drilled some pilot holes and used self tapping bolts. With the LEDs in the front nose it made it easy to keep the flag lit up at night just wish the switch was inside instead of in the battery compartment. I wonder how difficult it would be to rig up a photocell so the lights would come on/go off Dusk to Dawn?

Aluminum fastener with a stud in the ring on the top rail Thing laying around in the metal scrap Pile. I’m always on the lookout for a small Marine Corps flag.
