Zepplin 181

Just purchased a used 2004 zepplin 181 to use a few weeks a year up in the nw. I want to put trailer breaks on is that a 10 inch hub?
Anything else I should look for walls are strong inside and out no water damage but floor is soft I a couple of spots. I like the storage provided under neath. I'm pulling it with a f150 5.4 3v
But I will be going up and down many mountain passes and hills
I have the tow package
Anyone have pics of the euro frame,?

Be hauling it to from Arizona each year

Welcome to the forum

Congrats on your new to you purchase. Looking at the only online pic I could find it’s hard to tell but it looks like 5 lug rims and most often they are 10” brakes.

There might still be a tag on the axle with the P/N and manufacturer. With that you can contact them for all the specs. Otherwise you’ll need to pull one side off and have a look.

Thanks for the reply

So it already has brakes? I was thinking I needed to add them.

By the way, welcome! I suggest if there are soft spots on the floor there IS water or was water that did it. Seal the roof and windows ASAP.

Brakes are required based on GVWR of the trailer. Couole easy ways to know if it does have brakes:
Look in the tongue area for a black box with a pin in it, the pin will have a wire cord you can pull the pin.

Look at the backside of the wheels, if you see wires coming out of the axle or zip tied to the axle then you have brakes.

If you don’t have brakes, adding them is possible.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

You would want to carefully inspect the roof seals and repair as necessary to stop any leaks. Water intrusion is about the worst thing for a RV.

Have fun with your project and take care!
