Hooks on the outside

Anyone ever try putting those 3M hooks on the outside? I'm thinking about putting a few next to the entry door to hang wet jackets and such. Not sure if they would hold up subjected to the elements.

I think they would not last long but you could probably just replace the adhesive strips before each trip.

You might even be able to fasten something to your swing out handle to hang jackets on or possibly use one of the "slip over the top of the door" hangers, not sure how it would work with weatherstripping?

If you check my mods link, you'll see where I made a clothes line for the back of my camper using a couple of adjustable flag pole mounts attached to the frame.

You might think about doing something similar to what your wanting by mounting one near the door and then using a broom handle or something similar in the mount and screwing a couple hooks to three sides of the handle not facing the trailer. It is a very sturdy mount and would have no problem supporting 2-3 wet heavy jackets. Just a thought to consider.

3M now offers a waterproof version of the adhesive strips. You have to purchase them separate from the hooks, but they should work well on the outside of an RV.

Halibutman214, Howdy;

Be sure you have the area clean. I would recommend wiping the area
where you are going to attach the hooks with alcohol. Be sure the towel
(paper or otherwise show no dirt or other residue), then attach your hooks.
