Great Service!

We just returned from a 2 week 3500 mile trip and I just wanted tell everyone about the great service we recieved from a dealer in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

To start let me tell you what we ran into. Our first stop on our trip was Aberdeen, South Dakota and on our way there we encountered some high winds. Well when we got to the campgrounds we dropped the trailer and got set up and then went to see some family. When we returned to the trailer we notice the rubber roof looked like a big ballon. When I looked at it I noticed the rubber roof had came unglued from the front glass all the way back to the bathroom sky light and from side to side. The next day we went out to Liebelt RV on the west side of town to see if they could help. Apon arriving there we were greated by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who directed us to the manager. I explained to him what had happened and told him that we needed it fixed to be able to finish our trip. After hearing my discription of the problem he said he wouldn't be able to fix the problem in time for us to contiue our trip as scheduled. He then offered a solution to our problem that he said could be a permanent bandaid solution. He then explained how he would do it and had said they have done this before with good results. We agreed to have them do the fix and after we brought the trailer to him and about 2 hours later the roof was in good enough shap for us to continue on our trip. So far the repair has held up very well!

So if you are ever in the Aberdeen, South Dakota area and need some work done I highly recommend them!

Thanks, it's always good to know where to get help when on the road. It's also great to hear a story with a positive outcome.

Sounds like you folks had a great trip. Keep on livin' the dream!

So tell us what they did in that situation. It could help some of us later on avoid a similar situation

What they did to fix the roof was take the same type of molding that is used to secure the top part of the glass or cap. They applied butyl tape to the bottom of it and then placed the molding at roughly 1' intervals across the roof staring at the front and going back to the sky light (in our case 4 pieces). After screwing them down they came back and used the self leveling caulk around each molding piece and then across the screws. After 4 days of snow in Yellowstone and 2 days of driving in rain we didn't have any issues with leaks. I checked the roof after we got back home and everything was in good shape and no additional damage to roof was found.
