Not sure who was thinking when the set up the lighting in this but took a quick mod. When you walk in you have to go up the stairs open the panel and switch on the main interior lights. Not easy in the pitch black. So I tapped off the switch and ran a wall switch on the wall. Bottom left switch in the pic. Much easier to find in the dark walking in. Also the loft was wide open and stairs not very kid friendly. Made a barrier and bought a collapsible ladder to use dual purpose. Put up a curtain rod at the request of my 7 year old who wants his privacy.

In my 2014 SRX, I step in, reach left and turn on the light over the counter next to the stove. We also use the stove hood light (with LED bulb) as a night light for those evenings we return in the dark.

I just found the above easier than adding a switch, but what I do doesn't work for everyone.

Other than that, how do you like your SRX? What do you haul in the garage?

I was doing the same thing. Especially since the led lights are just touch sensitive touch rings. But my kids couldn't reach the lights over the sink yet.
Right now just hauling bicycles, kayaks and on occasion a four wheeler. Love the usable space in the rear. Question for u. When I disconnect all power and 12v switch off and turn the power back on. Every single 12v led touch light turns on. Including the ones in the storage area and where the spare tire is. Found this out when the battery went randomly dead.

We don't have LED touch lights. Need to use a switch, so the lights stay off. Apparently, new isn't always better, which is why I drive a Cummins 24v with a lever on the floor for 4WD instead of a switch with a computer interface...among other reasons.

Whistles and bells and bling can be nice, but not always trouble-free. Wish I could suggest a cure, but I have no idea.

Spend some time with me if you want to see "silly" first hand. Keystone didn't hire all the rocket scientists LOL.

I had to dl your pic and rotate it to see it and I like the ladder. It makes sense and looks pretty beefy and safe.

I can only imagine. It seems that easy wins out over functional every time

I agree. The other thing they did was wired a touch light over the bed that can only be powered by the wall switch which also turns all the bedroom lights on. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a touch light over the bed. Still have to get out of bed to turn light on or off
