New to us 2011 26SAB

Hello folks .. Wife and I have had several RV's over the years but just purchased a Xlite and have a couple of questions ..
1. What axles were installed on this unit..? 3500 or larger?
2. Does a general wiring diagram exist? If not .. I will draw my own.
3. Is there sufficient blocking on rear wall to install exterior ladder? Want access to install solar panels. Also is there a recommended route to get wiring to Battery compartment?

I know lots of questions but I am in the question stage on several upgrades.

TIA to all Henry

Congrats and good luck. Chances are you will not find a wiring diagram and Keystone does not have one to supply. If you have it at home you can look at the axles to see the diameter of them to get an idea. Our first TT had axles that were only about an inch and our current on has axles that are 2.5 to 3 inches. The Premier that I have, the axles were under sized pre 2013.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new to you RV purchase. Will try to answer your questions and if you use the search feature in the blue bar at the top of every forum page, you'll find a wealth of information already available for almost any topic you're going to encounter during your ownership of your XLite.

1. There is a yellow sticker on the front driver's side of your RV. it will list the axle rating, tire size and pressure. It also will list the maximum payload and give you some indication of tank sizes as well. In 2011 the specs were:
26SAB
SHIPPING WEIGHT 6905
PAYLOAD 3085
PIN WEIGHT 1190
LENGTH 29' 4"
HEIGHT 11' 11
FRESH WATER 41
BLACK TANK 28
GRAY TANKS (2) 56
PROPANE 60
TIRE SIZE 225/75R15D

With a GVW of 9995 and a pin weight of 1190, I would suspect that your RV has 5000 pound axles that have been "de-rated" to 4400 pounds. That information is on the yellow sticker to confirm my guess.

2. No, there is no electrical, plumbing or framing schematic available from Keystone. To my knowledge, there is none available elsewhere. If you do work up an electrical diagram, I'm sure a number of forum members would be very interested in your efforts if you care to share your work.

3. The current year models do have roof ladders installed from the factory. My 2014 does not and when I asked the factory about installing one, I was told that there is no framing installed to support a ladder. You might want to do some research with Keystone with regards to the 2011 models. Some of the framing is "shared" between the Oregon and Indiana plants and many of the west coast (WE) models do have ladders installed, so you could possibly have framing available.

Good luck with your RV modifications and we look forward to seeing pictures and hearing reports of your improvements.

Thanks fellows for the reply... I did find the info on the axle and yes 4400 spec. When I get the unit home will work on wiring diagram.. (If they did not change wire color in the middle of a run) .. On the ladder, will use a little Giant stored in the basement. Also planning to go with 4 (possibly 6) GC2 Batteries.. Should be all we need with about 300 watts of solar. Wife and I like to anchor out a lot.
Will post pictures in a few months when we get unit home.. Currently on the Great Loop with boat that we built. 6000 miles behind us and another 1500 to go..
Henry.
