Propane usage

I just got back from a four day trip to Vogel State Park with my bullet 230bhs. The temps during the days were 40-50 but at night it dropped into the high 20s with windchills into the teens. I left out with a full 20# and partial 20# tank with less than half. We Kept the heat set at 68 during the day and 65 at night, with no backup heater. I didn't tap my full tank until the last night. I estimate about 15#s of use if that for the four days.
Does that sound like a a lot of gas to everyone else?

15 pounds in 4 days means 3.75 pounds a day.

Without actually weighing the cylinders before and after, your just guessing. Depending on how many times the heater cycled, if the fridge and hot water heater were on propane, that might not be too far off.

Sounds like you did fine. Those are cool temps to keep the furnace running day and night. I'm surprised you didn't run out completely.
