Adding a second battery to a Fuzion 390

I went to plan out the installation of a second battery on my Fuzion 390 and cannot seem to figure out a way to install it. The location of the 1 battery is just big enough and cannot fit a 2nd.

Has anyone else run into this problem and designed a solution?

Thanks

Photos would help. I have plenty of room for 2 batteries on my Fusion.

I carry 2 12v deep cycle batteries for my Fuzion. If indeed you don't have the room, you may want to think about 2 6v batteries. Happy Pulling!

Two 6 volts will take up as much or more room than two Group 27 12 volts.

2013 381

I have a 2013 381 and two batteries won't fit on the factory battery tray.

I wanted to convert to 6 volt batteries with my Cougar. The "designated" battery area is a "single battery compartment" on the side of the RV. We relocated the batteries (in a new battery box) to the front storage compartment and I modified the "old battery storage area" to use it as secure, weatherproof storage.

While the second battery may not fit "next to the old location" have you considered relocating "the entire mess" to another area and then "repurpose" the old area???

Now that is a great idea.

Thank you

Here's a couple of pictures of the installation. The first picture is the new double battery box with two 6Volt batteries. The second is the old battery location. It was open to the ground, but I used pressure treated 1/2" plywood and the nonwoven auto carpet from WalMart ($6.88) to cover the bottom and seal the area. It's perfect for a tool storage area and keeps all my tools in one place.

Adding Batteries

Fuzion 2013 When I picked it up it had two batteries and the tray was big enough to add a third one, and then I added a battery tray below the three just for the generator start battery, installed a metal starter solenoid like Ford had on the inside firewall with a switch to turn it on, (this type of soliond will not burn up when left on for long times) when I want to charge it. this way when dry camping you will always be able to start generator to charge the hole system
