Dang, I hope that the DW doesn't see your mods! Very classy job.

I followed your idea and pics for the block on the range top for our 24' Hideout. Here's what we did this weekend.

I was thinking of using the rubber grommets as well instead of the wood pieces.
I went and got a cutting board from wally world (wal-mart) but all they had was a 25"x16". It will work, but won't cover the edges of the burner area. At least it will be covered and give us more counter space!

Yeah, that $17.99 cutting board from WM really costed us $367.99. Cus DH just had to have a Senco battery powered finish nailer to do our mods while on the trip. And he's not done yet either. Some of the cabinet faces came apart on our maiden voyage, so he'll be nailing them back together.

Okay, okay, I give up! The DW said that this is our, (meaning my), next mod. The only problem is that our camper is still buried in a warehouse. It's not yet quite spring in Michigan! Would someone tell me the size of cutting board that I need to cover the stove top please?

ThePressureIsOn, the cutting board is the biggest one Walmart had at our store. It's actually measures 21" X 15-1/4". It makes such a big difference with our small kitchen when counter space is sparce anyway. Good luck with it. It will really score some brownie points with the DW!

We have had our Bullet a little over a year now and are ready to start making a few mods. I love your towel rack and I also am thinking about a magazine rack on the wall of the bedroom. I am interested to hear the best way to secure these types of items to the wall, both for an "inside" wall and an "outside" wall if there are any differences.

Nice upgrades, like the cutting board on the stove and the bike rack. Good ideas.

jamesfamilytx: The shelf/towel bar is anchored on both the inside and outside wall by using the anchor bolts purchased at Lowe's (see link below).

Thanks for the link! We have been concerned about attaching anything to an "outside" wall with anything other than Command strips. Nervous about how wide that space really is and certainly don't want to poke a hole all the way through!

Love your mods. We just had our Passport 3290 BH delivered last week. The shelf in the bath is a good idea. Would get the towels out of the bunkhouse. With 3 boys (including DH
!) and all their friends....I wouldn't trust putting towels on the lower shelf that comes installed!
