awning center support

Is it a rough deal to install a awning center support? I am a little nervous about punching holes in my camper. If anyone can give simplified instructions it would be appreciated. thanx

If your awning was properly installed, there really should be no need to add an additional support. What is likely more important is to use a "deflapper" on your awning (yes they really do work) if possible, and to use tie downs if you plan to leave it out on windy days. Awnings are much more durable than most believe... and it's usually the installation that fails.
