Talking 2009 Sprinter 311 BHS

Bought our second travel trailer for our family to use on more and more vacation. We currently have a 2001 Nomad, nothing fancy, at our deer lease and bought a 2009 Sprinter 311 BHS from my wife's boss last week. Trailer is in excellent shape since he only used it twice. I do have a couple questions if anyone can helP:

- The large outdoor clear light on the front of the trailer, does it turn on with the switch that turns the "porch" light on? It currently does not come on but will be starting with replacing the bulb this week.

- The radio and the light above the dining table are very touchy when the slide is all the way extended. It is like a wire or two is stretch to tight or shorted. The radio may stop working or the light may not come on in certain instances. Any ideas?

So far these are the only two issues I have found with the camper. Can't wait to take it out more.

1) Is the large light on the front you are referring to a round llight fixture (also called a scare light). Is this on the front of the rv or the front side wall?
2) The 12 power wires generally can be accessed under the slide and travel on a pivoting arm ddevice . There usually is a Junction box under the slide as well. I would check the wiring there first.

Sorry it is the light on the side wall towards the front, not the actual front of the trailer.

Thanks for the post.

If that is a round say 8 inch diameter, it should be on a separate switch than the porch light near the door). In my rig, the switch for my scare light is labeled DS light and is located at the main control panel next to the porch light switch.
