Bit the Bullet
Good Morning Everyone,
So the rear stairs that came on our 428 just never would seem to slide in and out right. I tried lubing the crap out of them but it just didn't seem to matter. Another issue was, if the rear of the camper sat up at the camp site higher, then that last step to the ground seemed like you were jumping out of the back end.
So I decided to upgrade those steps with something that gave us A) more steps and B) a little bit more rigidity. I ended up purchasing the Glowstep Revolution. They fit perfectly in the space that the factory steps were mounted in. Attached are a few pictures. The install took may be 15 minutes to complete. Now, if the weather would just get nice here so we can go camping!
I will say this, not a cheap upgrade.

I am really looking forward to them. They seem to have a couple different adjustment heights. Have you ran into anyone not able to use them due to the ground being wonky?

Did you check to see if the Gen y pin box altered the Lippert Frame warranty?

What warranty? Pfff the massive 1 year you get? Big deal, but I don’t believe it does.

Not that it matters but Keystone warranties the frame for 3 years. That is if you can get them to authorize warranty work.

Yeah, warranties on campers are kind of a joke.

Here's the "Keystone Memo" grandfathering the Andersen hitches that were installed prior to March 15, 2021. It looks like any gooseneck hitch installed after that date will void the warranty, except for the Reese GooseBox.
Not criticizing your choice of hitches, just providing Keystone's policy memo for you to see.

Nice! I installed these steps a couple weeks ago. Makes it a lot easier for our two year old to navigate the steps. We also got the SafeStep accessory.

Nice upgrade! You are right the factory rear steps are horrible to operate. Did you order them online or from a local dealer?

I actually got them off amazon. Found them 50.00 cheaper than anywhere else.

No, they aren’t cheap, but the engineering that went into them makes you appreciate how they operate over the factory ones.

It closes the gap between steps to prevent falling. It’s also supposed to help with pets that may hesitate when they see a gap between the steps. Necessary, probably not. But it gives me peace of mind with a toddler.

Have you been using these steps long? Do you find they trap things in at all?
