Ac not working

It appears 110v is working fine except air conditioners. 12v lights are very dim. HELP!

Pam is this a new problem? Were the ACs working and then stopped? New trailer? How are you plugged into shore power; 30A, 50A, 15A? Does the microwave work? AC outlets?

Dim lights work on the 12vdc system and should be an entirely different issue. What shape are your batteries in, how old are they, when was the water checked last?

Thank you for your quick reply. I just did some more troubleshooting. The battery was low. Now my question is, how does the battery charge itself?

They (hopefully you have 2) charge via the AC shore power (15/30/50A) going through the converter that then charges the batteries. If your battery(s) was very low on water (discharged) they could be functionally ruined.

The battery is charged by a device called a Converter. It is a fancy name for a charger. It changes 120 volts AC into 12 volt DC and provides 12 volts to lighting and control circuits for the A/C, Fridge, Water heater, Furnace etc. The battery is also on a 30 amp resettable fuse within 6' of the battery. The battery also has 2 or 3 "Reverse Polarity" fuses on the converter. Be sure the converter is on. If you are in a MH, the battery disconnect must be "in use" position.
