Inverter

I hooked batteries backwards and now the inverter doesn't even after replacing the 40 amp fuses. Also I can not seem to locate the inverter to check it out. I would sure like some feedback about what I can do, including finding it.

I have a 2017 Airstream Flying Cloud 25 foot rear bed.

I'm not familiar with Airstream. Typically the converter is either attached to the power distrihution panel or less than 3' away. Have you checked the 120 v ac breaker feeding the converter by cycling the breaker off then back on?

You're talking "converter" not inverter.
Converter changes 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC and to power the power 12 volt items in the rv + charge the batteries.
Inverter uses the onboard 12 volt DC batteries changing to 120 volt AC to power a residential fridge &/or possibly a plug or 2 for a television.
By wiring your batteries incorrectly along with blowing the converter fuses you may have damaged the converter by connecting 24 volts til the fuses blew.

Inverter

Thank you for your response but I mean inverter. The Airstream has one installed. The converter works fine after replacing the fuses.

Yes I did fortunately everything is working but the inverter. Airstream has a button next the the control panel to turn it on and off. Thank you for the help I bet its behind the control panel.

How did you hook up the batteries? Negative lead to positive post?

Your inverter probably has a fuse protecting it too, and I’m thinking it won’t be too far away from the batteries. I would look inside the trailer, in a cabinet with a removable side/back wall. It’s going to be like an Easter egg hunt.
