Location of Furnace on Cougar 316RLS

Where is the location of the furnace on the 2021 Cougar 316RLS? Does it operate on 12V or 120V power?

Look around your cabin. Your furnace will have a vented cover and be about 18" x 18". Furnace will be on the other side. Your heater requires 12VDC and is fueled by propane. Go to youtube.com and search "rv furnace operation" and you will see a bunch of videos that may help you understand the operation. Typically you don't have to access the actual heater and once the propane in your unit is turned on, you turn on the heater through your thermostat. If you need further help or have more questions, ask specifically. Good luck!

Looking at the floorplan for the 316RLS, it seems the furnace is on the road side, just aft of the water heater. You'd access it by either the exterior furnace door (if it has one) or by removing the aft wall inside the passthrough, crawling into that space, under the toilet/shower and past the water heater....

Hopefully, if you walk around the outside of your RV, you'll locate the water heater and just aft of it, you'll find a vertical access door. That is your furnace. If all you see aft of the water heater is a small plate with one or two exhaust ports, then you'll have to access the furnace from the passthrough.
