I bought a telescoping ladder for our trailer to make it easier to clean the top of the slides before pulling them in. It was so easy to transport and use that I bought another one for home and keep it in the garage. These things are very practical.

I bought one off Amazon too... https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This one has a wide foot, and that made me feel better because I do not like heights. But the roof needs caring now matter what! =)

Just as a safety note: As Danny pointed out, I would avoid the ladder on any RV if I weighed over 125 pounds. They are noted to be exceptionally poor. One other thing about ladders, always remember the one to four rule:
“ When using a straight ladder, the top of the ladder must exceed the height of the structure it's leaned on by three feet and it must be leaned at a 75-degree angle—i.e. 1:4 or 1 foot out from the wall for every four feet of ladder height.”

Harbor Freight sells the Little Giant imitation for about a 1/3 of the price, carried under my truck cross bed toolbox for 10+ years. I got mine for $99 several years ago with their coupon.

I gotta say, you would hate me then when I need to get into the barn trusses to run electrical conduit/ wires for lights. Straight ladder is against the bottom chord of the truss 13’-14’ above the ground because the ladder could not fit at any sort of angle except 90 degrees if it was 3-4 feet taller with the truss web members in the way... I have not ever heard of that rule before, but it is interesting, and the angle part I hope is real close to common sense for people.

Many, errr....many years ago when I was learning to work aloft the training (IIRC from memory a long time ago) taught to stand at the bottom of the extended ladder with your feet placed at the bottom feet and push the ladder out to where your arms were straight. That was supposed to give you an adequate angle for using the ladder at height; 32s were as long as I wanted and after that it was hooks or a bucket truck.

Reading your post made me concur, I put that one in my cart just now. Albeit, the 15ftr. Got my Router fixed though, by asking a "smaller" friend to climb up.

Guys this is what I found to fix my problem of getting on the rv roof. Being I am handicap having an artificial right leg. Climbing ladders and being stable on one is a major concern. I purchased a Warner 12 foot platform ladder. Costly but to me is while worth it. With it I can get on the 5 th wheel roof easy and safely. Because it is a platform ladder most of the time don’t even need to get on the roof. I can reach most everything from the platform. Inspection and cleaning all done from ladder.

I've had the Harbor Freight telescoping ladder for a year now. With coupon, i paid $99. Normally $150 I believe. No major complaints but ive only used it 4 or 5 times. Don't let sand get in the locking tabs of any telescoping ladder. It's a PIA to get out. I left ours outside after doing a TT roof check and an unexpected summer storm hit Jekyll island. Sand was everywhere but the ladder was the biggest headache bc of the numerous sections with 2 locking tabs on top and bottom.
